This is the digital device that your handset plugs into (supplied by eagle.ca). • If you have high-speed DSL service, your current telephone service is provided by the incumbent phone company and you want to transfer your existing phone number to your eagle.ca Talk & Save service, you will need a DSL connection that uses a "dry-loop" (when your telephone number is transferred, you will no longer have access to the underlying phone line and will therefore need a "dry-loop"). eagle.ca can arrange for this change. The dry-loop is an additional $12/month.
Other charges: • $55 residential activation fee. $75 business activation fee. Includes "porting" of your existing phone number. Addtional numbers ported on the same order are $15/number. • During the installation of the dry-loop service, a change to the internal wiring of your home or business may be necessary. An eagle.ca approved contractor is available to do this work. A $100 fee will apply and includes the addition of one (1) wall jack if necessary. Additional jacks are $75 each if installed during the same visit. • Service move - $75 • Long distance charges outside North America are based on the country called.
